These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Cupidera, the online dating service available at cupidera.com (the “Service”). Please read them before creating an account. By registering you confirm that you accept these Terms.
1. Who we are
The Service is operated by:
- Cupidera OÜ
- Registry code: 17553967, entered in the Estonian Commercial Register (Äriregister)
- Address: Vesivärava tn 50, Kesklinna linnaosa, Tallinn, Harju maakond 10152, Estonia
- General enquiries: info@cupidera.com
- Support and complaints: support@cupidera.com
- Safety and reports: safety@cupidera.com
We refer to Cupidera OÜ as “we”, “us” or “Cupidera”. We refer to you as “you” or “the member”.
2. Who may use Cupidera
You must be at least 18 years old to register. When you sign up you must confirm your age and accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy. We validate the date of birth you enter and reject registrations below 18.
You may hold one account. You must be legally able to enter into a contract, and you must not be barred from using the Service under any applicable law, or by a previous termination of your account by us.
3. What the Service is
Cupidera is a platform for meeting other adults. Through your account you can create a profile, upload photos and albums, browse and search other members, use Meet Me, send winks, send virtual gifts and exchange private messages.
We provide a platform. We do not introduce, vet, screen or background-check members, and we do not promise that you will meet anyone or form any relationship. Any meeting or relationship that follows is your own decision and your own responsibility. Please read section 11 on safety.
4. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for everything done through your account. Tell us at support@cupidera.com if you believe someone else has used it.
The information in your profile must be true and must describe you. You may close your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account.
5. Free use and paid use
Registration is free, and so is most of the Service. Every registered member can use search and advanced search, saved searches, browsing, profiles, photos and albums, audio and video, “Viewed Me” and “I Viewed”, the interest cloud, comments, group and one-to-one chat, and Near Me, at no cost.
Arrows are used only when you reach out to another member. The actions that cost Arrows, and their current prices, are:
| Sending a message | 25 Arrows |
| Sending a wink | 2 Arrows |
| Sending a virtual gift | from 25 Arrows, depending on the gift |
The current price of each action is always shown in the Service before you confirm it, together with your balance. Receiving a message, wink or gift is always free.
There is no subscription and no minimum term. You are never charged automatically or on a recurring basis.
6. Buying Arrows
6.1 Prices
Arrow packs are sold at the prices shown on the Arrows page in your account. All prices are shown in euro (EUR) and include VAT where VAT applies. The applicable VAT rate depends on your country of residence within the EU. There are no delivery costs.
Arrows do not expire. They are personal to your account and cannot be transferred to another member, sold, exchanged for cash, or redeemed for anything outside the Service.
6.2 How an order is placed
Before you confirm an order we show you the pack, the number of Arrows, and the total price including VAT. You place the order by activating the button labelled “Order with obligation to pay”. Activating that button creates a binding contract and an obligation to pay.
You can correct input errors at any point before that button is activated, by returning to the previous step. We confirm your order by email without undue delay. That confirmation is your record of the contract on a durable medium; please keep it.
6.3 Invoices
We issue an invoice for each Arrow purchase and make it available in your account under Settings → History. By purchasing you agree to receive invoices electronically.
7. Your right of withdrawal
This section applies if you are a consumer resident in the European Union or European Economic Area.
7.1 Arrows are supplied immediately, at your request
Arrows are digital content. They are added to your balance and become usable the moment your payment succeeds.
Before you pay, we ask you to confirm separately — by ticking a box at checkout, not by accepting these Terms — that:
- you expressly request that the Arrows be made available to you immediately, during the fourteen-day withdrawal period; and
- you acknowledge that you will lose your right of withdrawal for that purchase once we have begun to supply them.
Where you have given those confirmations and we have supplied the Arrows, your right of withdrawal for that purchase ends, in accordance with Article 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU and § 53(4) of the Estonian Law of Obligations Act. We record both confirmations with your order and repeat them on your invoice.
If you would rather keep the fourteen-day right, do not give the second confirmation. Write to support@cupidera.com and we will take your order without it — in that case we hold the Arrows and credit them once the fourteen days have passed.
7.2 What this means in practice
We do not refund a purchase because you changed your mind, and we do not refund Arrows you have spent: each paid action — a message, a wink, a gift — is supplied to you in full, separately, and at a separately payable price at the moment you carry it out.
We do refund where something went wrong on our side: money taken and no Arrows credited, a duplicate charge, Arrows deducted for an action that was never delivered, or a payment you did not authorise. Our Refund Policy sets out each case, how to ask, and how long it takes.
7.3 If we got the process wrong
If we did not obtain the confirmations described in section 7.1, or did not give you the information the law requires, or did not send you the order confirmation, then your right of withdrawal is not affected: you owe nothing for Arrows you have used and are entitled to a full refund.
7.4 Model withdrawal form
Where the right of withdrawal still applies, you may — but do not have to — use this form:
To: Cupidera OÜ, Vesivärava tn 50, Kesklinna linnaosa, Tallinn, Harju maakond 10152, Estonia — support@cupidera.com
I hereby give notice that I withdraw from my contract for the purchase of the following Arrows: __________
Ordered on: __________
Name: __________
Address: __________
Account email: __________
Date: __________
7.5 Your rights under the law
Nothing in this section takes away rights you have under Estonian or EU consumer law that cannot be contracted away, including your rights where a service is not what was agreed. Where anything here conflicts with those rights, those rights apply.
8. Legal guarantee
We must supply the Service in conformity with the contract, and we are liable to you under Estonian law if we do not. This legal guarantee applies in addition to, and is not limited by, anything in these Terms. If the Service does not work as it should, contact support@cupidera.com and we will put it right, or refund you where the law requires.
We may update the Service so that it stays in conformity — for example security and compatibility updates. Where an update would materially and negatively affect your access to or use of the Service, we will tell you in advance and you may terminate free of charge.
9. What you may not do
You must not:
- use Cupidera if you are under 18, or help anyone under 18 to use it;
- impersonate another person, or create a profile that is not you;
- upload a photo that is not of you, or that shows another person without their consent;
- post content that is illegal, hateful, threatening, harassing, defamatory, or that sexualises minors in any way;
- post sexually explicit material where the Service does not permit it;
- ask other members for money, or use the Service for advertising, recruitment, escort services, or any commercial purpose;
- send unsolicited bulk messages, or use bots, scrapers or automated tools against the Service;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, other accounts, or our systems;
- collect or publish other members’ personal data, including their photos or messages, outside the Service;
- resell, transfer or attempt to cash out Arrows.
10. Reporting content, and what we do about it
10.1 How to report
You can report a profile, a photo, a message or any other content from the report control in the Service, or by emailing safety@cupidera.com. Reports can be submitted electronically and are free.
To help us act quickly, please include an explanation of why you believe the content is unlawful or breaches these Terms, the exact location of the content (for example the profile URL), and your name and email address. You do not need to give your name when reporting material involving the sexual abuse or exploitation of children.
We confirm receipt of your report, decide on it in a timely, diligent, non-arbitrary and objective way, and tell you the outcome and how to challenge it.
10.2 Our moderation
Profiles, photos, audio and video are reviewed before they appear. We also act on reports, and on our own initiative where we become aware of a problem. Moderation is carried out by our team; we may use automated tools to detect and prioritise potential breaches, and where we do we will say so.
Where we restrict content or an account, we give you a statement of reasons setting out what we did, the facts we relied on, whether automated means were used, the legal or contractual ground, and how you can challenge the decision.
If we become aware of information giving rise to a suspicion of a criminal offence involving a threat to the life or safety of a person, we will inform the competent law enforcement or judicial authorities.
10.3 Suspension and termination
We may suspend or close your account if you breach section 9, if you use the Service unlawfully, if you provide false registration information, or if keeping the account open would put other members at risk. We will tell you why and you may challenge the decision by writing to support@cupidera.com.
If we close your account for a reason that is not your breach of these Terms, we refund the value of your unspent Arrows.
10.4 Terrorist content
Terrorist content has no place on Cupidera. We prohibit any material that incites, solicits, glorifies or contributes to terrorist offences, or that provides instruction in methods or techniques for committing them. Such material is removed as soon as we become aware of it, and the account behind it is closed.
Competent authorities may send removal orders under Regulation (EU) 2021/784 to our contact point at legal@cupidera.com. That contact point accepts orders and communications in Estonian and English.
10.5 How we behave towards you
We do not send messages, winks or gifts from accounts under our control in order to encourage you to spend Arrows, and we do not pay anyone to do so. If we operate an account for support or moderation, it is identified as such in the Service.
11. Safety
People are not always who they say they are. Take the same care online that you would anywhere else:
- never send money to another member, for any reason;
- do not share financial details, identity documents, or your home address;
- meet for the first time in a public place, and tell someone where you are going;
- report anything that feels wrong to safety@cupidera.com.
12. Your content
What you upload stays yours. By uploading it you give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce and display it for the purpose of operating the Service — showing your profile to other members, generating thumbnails, and backing up. That licence ends when you delete the content or close your account, except for copies we must keep to comply with a legal obligation or to establish or defend a legal claim.
We do not use your photos or messages for advertising, and we do not sell them.
13. Our liability
Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for intent or gross negligence, or for anything else that cannot be limited under Estonian law. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.
Subject to that, we are not liable for the conduct of other members, whether online or offline, and we do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
14. Changes to the Service and to these Terms
14.1 Changes to the Service
We may change the Service beyond what is needed to keep it in conformity only where there is a valid reason to do so — for example to keep it secure, to adapt it to a new technical environment, to comply with a change in the law, or to add or replace a feature — and only at no additional cost to you.
We will tell you clearly about any such change. Where a change would negatively affect your access to or use of the Service in more than a minor way, we will tell you reasonably in advance, by email, of what is changing and when, and you may terminate the contract free of charge within 30 days of being told or of the change taking effect, whichever is later. If you terminate for that reason, we refund the value of your unspent Arrows.
14.2 Changes to these Terms
We may change these Terms — for example to reflect a change in the law or in the Service. We will tell you about any significant change by email or in the Service before it takes effect. If you do not accept the change, you may close your account and we will refund your unspent Arrows.
We will never reduce the value of Arrows you have already bought, cancel an unspent balance, or change the price of Arrows you have already paid for.
15. Complaints and dispute resolution
15.1 Talk to us first
Write to support@cupidera.com. We confirm receipt in the same form and answer within 15 days. If we cannot answer in that time we will tell you why and give you a new date.
15.2 Consumer Disputes Committee
If we cannot resolve it, you may refer the dispute to the Estonian Consumer Disputes Committee:
- Tarbijavaidluste komisjon (Consumer Disputes Committee)
- Endla 10A, 10122 Tallinn, Estonia
- Email: avaldus@komisjon.ee · Telephone: +372 620 1707
- Website: ttja.ee/en/consumer-disputes-committee
- Online submission: jvis.ttja.ee
The procedure is free for both parties, is conducted in Estonian, normally takes up to 90 days, and the Committee’s decision is not binding on either party. The Committee may decline to hear claims below EUR 30. Because Cupidera OÜ is registered in Estonia, the Committee is competent for consumers in any EU Member State.
Consumers outside Estonia can also get help from their national European Consumer Centre. General EU information on consumer redress is at consumer-redress.ec.europa.eu. The European Commission’s ODR platform was discontinued on 20 July 2025 and is no longer available.
15.3 Supervisory authorities
Consumer protection in Estonia is supervised by the Consumer Protection and Technical Regulatory Authority (Tarbijakaitse ja Tehnilise Järelevalve Amet), Endla 10A, 10122 Tallinn, info@ttja.ee, +372 667 2000, which is also Estonia’s Digital Services Coordinator. Data protection is supervised by the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate (Andmekaitse Inspektsioon) — see our Privacy Policy.
16. Governing law and courts
These Terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Estonia.
If you are a consumer habitually resident in another EU or EEA Member State, this choice of law does not deprive you of the protection of any mandatory rules of the law of your country of habitual residence that cannot be derogated from by agreement.
Nothing in these Terms limits your right as a consumer to bring proceedings in the courts of the country where you live. We may bring proceedings against you only in the courts of the Member State in which you are domiciled.
17. Related policies
These Terms work together with:
- Purchase & Arrows — what Arrows are, what they cost, how buying works
- Refund Policy — when and how you get money back
- Content Moderation Policy — what is not allowed, how we act, how to appeal
- Privacy Policy — what data we hold and why
- Cookie Policy — what we store on your device
18. Other
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, the rest continues to apply. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and the Cookie Policy, are the whole agreement between us about the Service.
These Terms are available in English and can be saved and printed from this page.
